about Christine
I am a passionate and high-energy consultant working hard and dreaming big alongside of my colleagues and clients. No idea is too outlandish, no quest for self-betterment unworthy of time, exploration, and attention.
My Mission
I endeavor to connect with like-minded neuropsychologists, psychometrists, and psychology professionals seeking to provide the highest quality care to the patients they serve. I hope to inspire and motivate colleagues to dream big, partnering with them as they attain their professional goals.
My Values
I strive to exceed expectations wherever possible, and to foster excitement for the journey of growth. I love this field, I love my work, and I endeavor to exude that passion in my daily interactions with professionals, clients, and their families.
Formal Education & Training:
I earned my undergraduate degree with honors as a double major in Psychology & Education from Bucknell University (2008). I completed my Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology at the University of Miami (2016). My residency in lifespan neuropsychology was at the Emory School of Medicine/Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). I stayed at CHOA for a 2-year neuropsychology fellowship (2018), and obtained board certification through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) in 2019. I am currently in the process of completing my subspeciality board certification in pediatric neuropsychology (ABPP).
Work Experience:
Following fellowship, I was hired to develop a pediatric neuropsychology service line for an 11-hospital system in the suburbs of Atlanta (2018). I valued this experience immensely, as I was exposed to many business aspects of neuropsychology such as marketing, outreach, and community engagement. When an opportunity arose for me to return to my home state, I jumped at the chance and joined a group private practice (2019). I gained experience in a private practice model, finished off my board certification, and realized the unique flexibility and opportunities private practice affords.
I started the journey of opening my own solo private practice in 2021, in the midst of the very well known global pandemic. I earned a few “battle scars” along the way, but I also gained the financial, professional, and experiential data (and come on, who doesn’t love data!) to demonstrate how this was the most rewarding decision of my career, thus far. I took copious notes, and am forever refining my own practices to remain current and stay relevant.
In 2022, I decided to launch my consulting firm, as I was hired by multiple colleagues to support them with various neuropsychology-focused endeavors. I was also approached to consult for an autism-focused start up company, and felt like I was just beginning to skim the surface of the many opportunities neuropsychologists could engage in beyond traditional evaluations. I have always had a passion for teaching, keeping up on the latest research, and sharing it with others- so for these (and many other) reasons, a consulting firm just made sense.
Towards the end of 2023, I accepted a brief consulting position as a clinical assistant professor at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I was excited support their Neuropsychology and Learning Service! While I enjoyed my time consulting, my private practice was exploding and I wanted to fully dedicate my time back to the clients I served. So, I concluded consulting in the middle of 2024. I am grateful for the expanded network of colleagues, and excited to maintain contact with their team!
Professional Experience:
I believe as you scroll through this website you will begin to understand how my “lived” experiences across professional settings has shaped my career and ultimately guided me to this consulting space. My most notable professional contribution to date is likely my book, A Neuropsychologist’s Guide to Training Psychometrists: Promoting Competence in Psychological Testing, which was published by Routledge in December 2021. If you pop over to the Psychometry Training page you will learn more about the impetus for this text, and the ways I hope it sparks conversations around minimum standards of competence for psychometrists.
Beyond the book, I serve as a mentor for individuals going through the clinical neuropsychology boarding process, both through the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology, and as the New Jersey state representative for the Society for Clinical Neuropsychology (SCN Division 40) Early Career Neuropsychologists Program Committee (ECNPC). I am also a practice sample reviewer for candidates going through the boarding process, and am a staunch believer that it is our duty as professionals to demonstrate the highest standards of competence in order to best serve our clients.
In August of 2023, I was accepted into the Goldman Sach’s 10,000 Small Business Program, and I graduated in December of the same year. The 10KSB program was life changing, and significantly enhanced both my understanding of business in general, as well as the specific ways I can enhance the business experience of others in our field. I am ecstatic to be able to share this knowledge with my colleagues!
My “Why”:
I provide the highest-quality care to the patients I serve, treating each family I work with as if they were part of my own. My practice is full, and I have never been happier with the service and ultimate product I provide. That said, I don’t see colleagues as “competition,” because there is unfortunately a never ending supply of need for our services. I want to join with other neuropsychologists as they reduce their professional burnout, regain their professional spark, and reconnect with the core reasons they went into this field in the first place. I want colleagues to “grow through what they go through” just as I did, and to come out wildly successful in the end. Helping my clients allows me to make an impact on a one-to-one basis, but helping a neuropsychologist positively impact their own clients has a systemic impact, and that is a goal that drives me everyday.
“Working with Christine helped boost my confidence and made me even more excited to open my own practice”
